Guangzhou Flower City in Bloom, a five-minute Guangzhou promotional video debuted at Monday's Guangzhou Annual Investment Conference, just nine days after a 30-second version was beamed across New York's iconic Times Square.

The longer-length version offers richer content and avails the audience a better understanding of Guangzhou, a modern and beautiful metropolis featuring artistic, innovative, high-tech and international talents.

Based on a simple love story of a foreign man and a Chinese lady, the video presents a panoramic view of both traditional and modern Guangzhou.

Throughout the video, the frame is filled with Cantonese opera, herbal tea, dim sum and embroidery, as well as the city's landmark building, the Canton Tower, and the Pazhou Complex – the world's largest convention and exhibition center.

A new orchestration of the classic Cantonese song Colorful Clouds Chasing the Moon, plays in the background combining Chinese and Western instruments, such as flutes, guitars, gongs and drums.
