A song and music video promoting Guangzhou and Spring Festival celebrations entitled "Our Song", has been released online attracting many hits and views, drawing many comments saying that it is the city's theme song.

The poppy, upbeat track is replete with catchy lyrics such as "Canton City, blooming beauty everywhere, Canton City, sweet scent in the air". 

Combining animation with real-life scenery shot around the city, such as the iconic Canton Tower, flowers, Cantonese food, and folk customs, it promotes Guangzhou image of being and international city filled with fun.

During the bridge there is particularly humorous interlude with animated characters singing "bah bah bah bah, my lucky number, bah bah bah bah, to prosper forever" – "ba" is Chinese for "eight" and is an especially auspicious and lucky number in the country.

The chirpy song embodies the hope of future prosperity and luck for all -- the city, the people of Guangzhou, and those all over the world. It expresses the common hope for people to feel the openness, enthusiasm, and passion in Guangzhou city.

Guangzhou local and Rio Olympic diving champion, Chen Aisen, is one of the singers and the main animated character in the music video. Chen said that he likes the song and its profound meaning. He also expressed his best wishes to his hometown and his hopes that the city can be a paradise for people to make their dreams come true.
