Hong Kong Economic and Trade Office in Guangdong

The Hong Kong Economic and Trade Office in Guangdong (GDETO) was set up in July 2002 by the Government of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region (HKSAR). It is one of the first five offices set up on the mainland to foster closer ties with HKSAR.

The GDETO is responsible for handling economic and trade matters between five provinces in the mainland (Guangdong, Fujian, Guangxi, Hainan and Yunnan provinces) and the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region (HKSAR).
