Guangzhou Sci-Tech Park for Private Enterprises is the first private technological park in Guangdong province, "One of Five Parks of Guangzhou's New and High-tech Industry Development Zone", and a national level key private technological park under the supervision of the Ministry of Science and Technology.
Guangzhou Sci-Tech Park for Private Enterprises features the integration of production, education and research, actively promoting the cooperation between enterprises, universities and various research institutes. The park helps enterprises to establish cross-regional and cross-trade research institutes, and to integrate production, education and research in the park. Guangzhou Sci-Tech Park has fostered a large number of innovative enterprises and boasts six "No. 1s in the nation" and "10 leading sectors in the trade." The park realized an operational revenue of 32 billion yuan in 2013 and a tax revenue of 1.54 yuan. Over 600 enterprises have been relocated to the park, of which 118 belong to industrial enterprises above the designated scale, construction enterprises above the designated qualification standard, wholesale and retail enterprises in the accommodation and catering sector above the designated quota and service enterprises above the designated quota.
The Guangdong-CIS International Technology Cooperation Union, which settled in the Gunagzhou Sci-Tech Park for Private Enterprises in November 2009, has attracted 201 members from home and abroad, and arranged over 150 project dockings with a total contract value of over 100 million yuan. At present, the park boasts one academician workstation, two postdoctoral mobile workstations and nine production, education and research bases.
