Located in Baiyun district, Huawei Guangzhou R&D Center stands as Huawei's inaugural research and development base in Guangzhou, covering 119,300 square meters of land.

The center's blueprint includes the construction of eight R&D buildings, one hotel, one cooling tower, and two underground floors, with a capacity to accommodate around 5,000 employees upon completion.

The main structures of the nine towers of the Phase I project have all been capped, and subproject construction is in progress. Its Phase I project is scheduled to be entirely constructed in September 2024.

In parallel with the construction of the Huawei Guangzhou R&D Center project, the layout of the vibrant riverside zone on the west bank of Guangzhou is unfolding. The development is full of vitality. The zone targets forming an original innovation highland for intelligent networking and new energy vehicles, with Huawei as the core.

The key focal point for the development of the vibrant riverside zone is Jinshawan, with Luochongwei at its core. Luochongwei area is situated adjacent to the Pearl River West Channel to the west, Guangzhou Baiyun Railway Station to the east, Baiyun Lake Digital Technology City to the north, and the White Swan Lake CBD to the south.

The first reconstruction project of the Luochongwei area was recently launched. It has a planned area of 22.8 square kilometers. The project is poised to catalyze fixed asset investment amounting to approximately 78.6 billion yuan ($12.28 billion).
