​Guangzhou COVID-19 Update for May 9

On May 9, Guangzhou reported 2 local confirmed cases (previously reported as asymptomatic cases), 1 imported confirmed case, and 3 imported asymptomatic cases. Eight COVID-19 patients have been newly discharged, while 160 still remain in the hospital.

As of 24:00 May 9, 2022, a total of 5,701 positive cases have been reported in the city. These include 2,793 confirmed cases (1,847 imported cases and 946 local cases) and 2,908 asymptomatic cases (2,653 imported cases and 255 local cases).

Notification of Readjustments to the Lockdown, Partial Lockdown and Restricted Zones in Baiyun District (No. 45)

Based on the comprehensive assessment of the current COVID-19 situation and the differentiated management measures, the lockdown, partial lockdown and restricted zones in Baiyun District are hereby adjusted as follows:

I. Containment measures will be lifted in Xinshi Subdistrict and Longgui Subdistrict. The areas will be placed under normalized administration.

II. Building B1 and its north annex building and tower, No. 150; annex building and tower, No. 152; north tower and annex building of Building B5, Huangbian North Road, Helong Subdistrict have been adjusted as restricted zones.

III. Grid No. 15 (Aigang Village), No. 23 (Gangwei Village), No. 25 (Xinlian Village), and No. 35 (Donghua Xicheng Industrial Park), Renhe Town have been adjusted as restricted zones.

IV. The entire Gaozeng Village, the lockdown zone in Grid No. 7 (No. 90, 92, 94, 96, 297, 303 and 305 of Daxian Street; No. 10 Datian East 9th Lane; No. 5, 7 and 9 of the 8th Lane, No. 5, 7 and 9 of the 10th Lane, No. 2 of the 7th Lane, and No. 1 and 3 of the 6th Lane, Shanghua North, Donghua Village), and the lockdown zone in Grid No. 4 (the area bounded by No. 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 8, 9, 9-1 and 10 of Sannan Street; No. 4 and 6 of the 11th Lane, Huarong North Street; No. 53 and 55 Huarong North Street; No. 5, 7, 9, 11 and 17, Cross 3nd Lane, Huarong East 2nd Street; No. 7 and 9 of the 2nd Lane, Huarong East 3rd Street, Renhe Village), Renhe Town have been adjusted as partial lockdown zones.

V. Containment measures in other lockdown and partial lockdown zones in the district will remain in place as required by Baiyun District COVID-19 Control and Prevention Command Center.

The new adjustments herein will take effect from the issue date of this notification.
