The Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area (Guangdong) Innovation and Entrepreneurship Incubation Base held an online celebration for the first anniversary of its opening on March 29, with hundreds of young people from Hong Kong and Macao participating.

Qin Haiou, the head of the base, said that the base has attracted 157 entrepreneurial projects in the past year, including 136 Hong Kong and Macao projects, which account for 86.6 percent of its total, ranking first in China.

The base provides support for young people from Hong Kong and Macao in innovation, entrepreneurship, internships, and employment, helping them integrate into the Greater Bay Area, as well as attracting more Hong Kong and Macao youths to pursue their dreams in the Greater Bay Area.

Liu Mei, an official from Tianhe district, detailed 11 types of entrepreneurship and employment subsidies available at the base, including one-time start-up subsidies, guaranteed loans for start-ups, grassroots employment subsidies, and living allowances for the Greater Bay Area Youth Employment Program.

Hong Kong and Macao youths expressed that they were attracted to the Greater Bay Area by its good environmental protection policies, convenient transportation, and nice entrepreneurial environment.

At present, the recruitment and preparation work of the seventh batch of projects to settle in the base is ready. "We welcome more Hong Kong and Macao youths to pursue their dreams in the Greater Bay Area," said Niu Fei, vice-president of the base.
