The shuttle ship Suigang 906, loaded with exported products from Guangdong Chigo Air Conditioning Co Ltd, arrived at Nansha Port from Foshan's Nangang Port recently, marking the beginning of a new transportation model.

The new model, which emphasizes integrated operations between Nansha Port and other ports under Guangzhou Customs, applies information technologies to innovate supervision, allowing imports and exports to finish customs clearance procedures at hinterland ports before arriving in Nansha for immediate exporting.

The model prompts resource-sharing between hub ports and branch ports, facilitates logistics between Nansha Port and the hinterland area, and contributes to the improvement of Nansha's business environment.

Logistics costs for exporting and importing cargo from areas such as Guangzhou, Foshan, Zhaoqing, Qingyuan and Shaoguan through Nansha Port are expected to come down.

In addition, the new model will improve logistical efficiency in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area, boosting regional economic development.
