The talents apartment for Hong Kong and Macao youths in Guangzhou's Nansha district welcomed its first five tenants on April 21.

The apartment, which was designed and constructed under the guidance of the Nansha district committee of the Communist Youth League (CYL) of China, is aimed at better serving the youths from Hong Kong and Macao who work in Nansha.

Currently, the apartment has a total of 110 well-equipped rooms with facilities like free WiFi, air conditioners, refrigerators, televisions, and washing machines. It is able to accommodate 180 people.

Leisure entertainment area, such as meeting rooms, gyms, and kitchens for baking are also available in the apartment to provide one-stop services for tenants.

Hung Yat-hei, one of the first batch of employees hired by the Industrial Park Development Authority of Guangzhou Nansha New Area from Hong Kong and Macao, said that Nansha has strengthened its efforts to serve the youth of Hong Kong and Macao.

Hung added that he felt lucky to be able to live in the apartment because it enjoys convenient location, being only a 15 minute drive to his company.

In recent years, the Nansha district committee of CYL has devoted great efforts in making innovations in establishing a service mechanism for the flow of Hong Kong and Macao talents in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area. At present, the district has served more than 30,000 youths from Hong Kong and Macao.

It is expected that Nansha will become the first choice for Hong Kong and Macao youths to start innovation and entrepreneurship opportunities in the Greater Bay Area.
