A China-Europe Railway Express freight train departed from Guangzhou's Dalang railway economic industrial park on Feb 21, being the first of its kind to set off from Guangzhou after the Spring Festival.

The train, operated by Guangdong GW Holdings Co Ltd, had 43 standard containers and was loaded with electronic products, household appliances, and clothing worth about $5 million produced by companies in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area.

The train will arrive in Vorsino in Russia after 14 days, and the goods will be distributed to various markets and warehouses in Europe, including Moscow.

The departure of the train marked the resumption of the normal operation of Guangdong's China-Europe Railway Express during the fight against the novel coronavirus.

Due to the outbreak of the virus, manufacturing companies in Guangdong province have faced problems in various areas, such as logistics and trade. The normal operation of the Guangzhou's China-Europe Railway Express has opened a trade channel linking foreign trade companies and Europe.

Guangdong GW Holdings Co Ltd will launch more routes to Europe and Asia in 2020 on the basis of the current China-Europe Railway Express, aiming to boost the integration of the industrial chain in the Greater Bay Area and the Belt and Road Initiative.
