A salon on the sharing of employment and entrepreneurship experiences for Guangdong, Hong Kong, and Macao youths was held on Nov 17 at Guangzhou Tianhe Hong Kong and Macao Youth Association Headquarters.

Co-hosted by the Guangdong Youth Federation and the Guangzhou Tianhe Overseas Friendship Association, the salon attracted about 200 youths from Guangdong, Hong Kong, and Macao.

Eight representatives from different areas were invited to speak at the salon. Hot issues such as investment, education, and technology were covered during the event.

One speaker was Chen Donghuang, CEO of Guangdong Guoke Cell Technology Ltd, who also graduated from Hong Kong Baptist University.

"Hong Kong is advanced in scientific research, yet lacks industrialization landing platforms. We valued Guangzhou's resources and positioning in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area in the early stage of starting the business, and our future development relies on the connectivity in the Greater Bay Area," said Chen.

Currently, Chen is working on the construction of a parallel incubation park between Guangzhou and Hong Kong for stem cells and biomedicine. Chen said that he hopes to offer more help for youths from both sides to start their own businesses.

In recent years, the Guangdong Youth Federation has carried out various measures to help the innovation and entrepreneurship of youths from Hong Kong and Macao, including holding competitions, offering internships, and giving lectures.
