A delegation of 11 representative young entrepreneurs from Tyumen, Russia participating in a business incubator exchange program for Chinese and Russian youth embarked on a 10-day tour in Guangzhou on Oct 15.

The program, first launched in 2016, has held 29 exchange events in 20 cities in the two countries by the end of 2018, attracting more than 300 entrepreneurship mentors, young entrepreneurs, and college students from both Russia and China.

Themed around entrepreneurship education, the program aims to boost cooperation in innovation and entrepreneurship between youths of the two countries, cultivating more talents for China-Russia economic and trade cooperation.

Early in September, eight young entrepreneurs from Guangzhou visited Tyumen, reaching eight intentions of cooperation in areas like education, medicine, and the trade of agricultural products.

During the 10-day tour of Guangzhou, the delegation is expected to visit five industrial parks and 14 companies, as well as receive lectures from six experts, covering various areas in high-tech, innovation, and entrepreneurship spanning the tourism, automobile, education, service, and artificial intelligence industries.

Fang Tao, founder of Wego Community listing, which was among the first batch of national entrepreneurship communities, said that private parties will also be held during the event, allowing Russian youths to learn more about Chinese culture. Landmarks in Guangzhou, such as the former residence of Bruce Lee and the Pearl River, will be included in the tour.

Fang added that he hoped that China and Russia can reach mutually beneficial cooperation and introduce the joint entrepreneurship incubator for China-Russia youth project in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area.
