Vegetable carvings garner attention at Asian food fest

A display of vegetable carvings by chefs from Guangzhou enjoyed time in the spotlight at the Asian Cuisine Festival Guangzhou on May 20 due to their vivid representation of the city's local features.

The works included "Canton Tower", which was carved from a carrot, and "Awakening Lion" which displayed the distinctive Lingnan intangible cultural heritage of the lion dance.
