Asia's largest cruise ship port to be completed by June

The Nansha International Cruise Ship Home Port is expected to be completed by June and begin operating before Sept 30, according to reports from gznsnews.com on Jan 10.

With a combined construction area of over 760, 000 square meters, the port includes four berths, with the largest able to dock the largest cruise ship in the world. The port is expected to host 750,000 passengers per year. 

On Jan 9, the roof of the cruise ship terminal, a major part of the port, was sealed. 

According to insiders, the terminal includes a variety of high-tech facilities. It has 10 X-ray inspection channels, 20 self-service channels, eight health inspection channels and 18 border inspection channels with infrared body temperature scanning devices to offer safe, comfortable and convenient customs clearance services to passengers.
