Guangdong Science Center enters Guinness World Records

The Guangdong Science Center was awarded the title of "the largest Science and Technology Museum/Science Center" by the Guinness World Records on Nov 8, making it the first and the only one in China earning this honor.

The science center covers an area of 450,000 square meters with building area over 140,000 sq m. It has 12 permanent pavilions displaying more than 500 pieces (sets) exhibits and four high-tech theatres, including an IMAX 3D theatre, a 4D theatre, a dome theatre, and a virtual voyage theatre.

A science exploration park which integrates nature, science and art is located outdoors. It also has an ecological lake of 80,000 square meters, more than 2000 kinds of local plants, and dozens of outdoor exhibition items.

In addition, the unique architecture of the science center is very interesting and has won several environmental awards.
