The works enable visitors to get a closer look at famous murals from far-off places such as those in Yongle Palace in Shanxi province, Fahai Temple in Beijing and Mogao Cave in Gansu province's Dunhuang.

The exhibition features nearly 100 facsimiles of ancient murals by 32 famous artists. Great care was taken to make the artworks as true to their originals as possible, with contributions from the likes of Lin Shunwen from the Academy of Arts and Design of Tsinghua University.

The exhibition is being held by Guangzhou Academy of Fine Arts and Guangdong Artists Association. It will run until Oct 14.
