Guangzhou Ocean World

Situated in Guangzhou Zoo, Guangzhou Ocean World covers an area of over 13,000 square meters and is home to hundreds of kinds of fish and ocean creatures. It is a high-tech exhibition hall serving sightseeing, entertainment, research and education purposes.

Divided into various exhibition areas, Guangzhou Ocean World offers visitors a multi-dimensional display of the marine world. Its main parts include the Ocean Square which tells stories of aquatic lives in the forms of relief sculptures, an ocean cinema, an underwater tunnel, a two-storey high kelp column, the Freshwater World, and special zones for turtles, penguins, sea lions, seals and sharks.

Visitors to Guangzhou Ocean World experience extraordinary interactive activities. They can feed the ocean creatures themselves and communicate closely with them. Moreover, the bold ones can swim in the pond with trained sharks and turtles, equipped with diving outfits and accompanied by coaches.

Three highlighted entertainments in Guangzhou Ocean World are the Mermaid Show, Dancing with the Sharks and Marine Animals Performances.

Transportation:

1. Take Metro Line 65 and get off at Guangzhou Zoo Station.

2. Take bus 6, 16, 65, 78, 85, 112, 192, 199, 201, 219, 236, 246, 290, 535, 547, 833, 862b, 862 or University Town Line 4, and get off at Guangzhou Zoo Station. Then enter from the North Gate.
